Squats Cure Cancer

5 rounds for reps of:
275# Backsquats
Handstand push-ups

results:
Squats: 9-9-7-7-6
HSPU's: 10-10-9-10-9

Not the results I was hoping for but I like it, considering how sore I still am from the volume on the weekend. You can tell from the fact that I was so slow in the hole on those squats and the little amount of HSPU's I did. For me it's cool that my training took a hit today it's getting me stronger. A also did the CrossFit Oshawa wod today a couple hours later which was:

3 rounds for time of:
30 wallball
20 pull-ups
400m run (with your medball)

Results: 11:48

This one got me feeling back to normal. I find that I flirt with overtraining a lot, so over the years I have put in to all different types of training, I find I finally have a good grasp of how I'm feeling and when it's good to push through soreness and when its too much volume. I feel like today, even though I am not happy with both my scores, was very productive training. That's the other thing you've gotta do, especially in CrossFit, is separate your training and competition. I raced Evan Bombino today, my training partner and fierce competitor lol. He was breathing down my neck the entire wod and I liked it, but I kept the training mind frame rather than the racing and I feel like that's where I need to be whether I'm racing a big dawg like him or training by myself like this morning.
